I uploaded a partial english translation patch for the rom. Menus (game/battle), spells, items, enemy names, etc are translated. Dialogue is NOT translated. This wasn't made by me, but by dotKite and gazeux_snake from the GameFAQs FF3:DS message boards.

I've tested it and it works (some charater spacing issues, but it's barely noticable). I have the WRG version of the rom, btw (it's the only public one anyway, as far as I know)

What exactly are you having problems with? Make sure you have your rom named ff3.nds in the same folder as all the files, then run xdtpatch.bat
Also, make sure you're using an original WRG version (WRG is the only version available I believe) otherwise it may not work.

The "Weapons" and "Armor" pages have been updated with the exact information about each specific piece of weapon/armor.

All letters from game characters are translated and I have updated the sidequest details.

Hello all... I am currently working on a plain text FAQ for this game, one suitable for gamefaqs and other such places, and I was wondering if I could use some of the weapon/armor data and perhaps some other translated names in it. Naturally, those responsible for making this data public will be credited as they wish, and a link here will be provided if allowed. Thanks.

Is it safe to assume I am allowed to use the information in the FAQ I plan on finishing shortly?

I can't speak for everyone, but I do believe as long as you quoted the source sites, you'd be at least legally fine. Nothing here (except SquareEnix) seems to have strong copyright.
